Baby Swimming 9

Baby Swimming In the first nine-week term your baby will learn to swim short distances underwater from you to the instructor.

Babies are born with the 'diving reflex', which means that when their heads are fully submerged they breath hold. This ability is essential to our teaching program. We take babies into level one in-between the ages of 3 and 14 months. The classes teach lifesaving skills and are great fun for both parent and baby. If your child continues through the whole program, he/she will eventually learn to swim on top of the water.

Classes in Guildford; Ottershaw; Walton-on-Thames; Epsom and Leatherhead.

My 2 children enjoy their lessons with Baby Swimming. They are both very confident in the water and I am amazed at how their swimming skills are developing at such young ages. My daughter isn't 3 yet and can almost swim a width on her own. They offer catch-up sessions for missed sessions as well and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We have found Baby Swimming a wonderful experience, both for our two children & us. We have all grown in confidence in the water and frequently receive complements about our sons swimming abilities. He is 3 in August and is able to swim a few meters unassisted as well as being safe in the pool and able to swim and hold onto the side. He has no fear in the water and this definitely due to the teaching he has received.

Our daughter is now 5 months and has started lessons and is already holding on to the side & going under the water. We would recommend baby swimming to all parents for confidence in the water and as a fun activity for the family!

We take a 14 week old son along to the classes at Slyfield, Guildford. Although the pool is warm and pleasant the facilities are pretty basic, especially considering the amount of money you pay.
The teachers are pleasant and the lessons ok, although simple in the extreme. You do constantly get the impression that they are trying to rush you through so that they can get the next set of paying customers in the pool as quickly as possible.

The office staff are helpful up until you pay them at which point all their replys appear to end in 'we are unable to' and then quote their Ts&Cs.
We chose Baby Swimming as they offered catchup lessons should you be unable to attend a class. What they fail to mention is that if you try to use one of these catchup classes they all suddenly appear to have been booked up even though we were only on our 3rd lesson!!! They very kindly offered us another catchup class a million miles away in Walton on Thames!

When we dared suggest that they should consider either providing more classes or a refund of the lesson we were again reminded of their Ts&Cs and told 'We are unable to'

Baby Swimming gets 1 out of 5 stars from us.
If you feel that for the money your paying you should be provided with a professional service for you and your little one, so do we. We won't be using them again and would advise other parents to check into other companies in the area.
