I have always been interested in babies and children. I worked as a nanny and maternity nurse for 18 years before becoming a mother myself in 2008. After the birth of my son, I realised that I wanted to help other women on their journey to becoming a mother. It was then that I stumbled upon being a doula and it seemed to make perfect sense.

I trained with Kicki Hansard of Nurturing Birth in October, 2008 and will be undergoing the recognition process with Doula UK, the regulatory body for Doulas.
I am eager to expand my knowledge, and am attending further courses and study days in the coming months.
