Naturally Clean

Naturally cleanKeeping your home clean from chemicals. In today’s society most of us don’t even think twice about buying the household products available on the market, and with all with the right intentions, to keep our houses smelling fresh and clean from germs, to keep our families fit and healthy. Well, at least we think so, as this is what the advertising tells us.  Every day we are bombarded with messages telling us how the latest products will keep our homes germ free and sparkly clean, and that we can’t live without them. However these messages are coming from those involved in the detergent industry, currently turning over £4.6 billion globally on household products every year.

The truth is however that these products can actually make us ill and are damaging our planet. Since WWII more than 80,000 synthetic chemicals have been created as a way for the petroleum industry to make money from the toxic waste (propylene) it creates. It started when scientists found a way of mixing propylene with benzene to produce sulphuric acid, then added sodium hydroxide to neutralise it. The result was a salt a little like ordinary soap and the detergent industry was born. The sad thing is that hardly any of these substances have been tested for safety, but they have been added to cleaning products without our consent and most often without informing us of any dangers. Neither have they been around long enough for us to judge the impact they will have on humanity in the long term. Many people are beginning to question the use of the chemical content of these products and to look for alternative, natural options
Naturally Clean are a Surrey based company who specialise in environmentally friendly home cleaning services. As you might guess, they don’t use “products”.  Not in the pre-packaged, cream and liquid, chemical laden sense of the word.

They use microfibre cloths, water and some long forgotten knowledge.  If they need anything else to shift more stubborn things (limescale for example) they use natural products like bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar and borax. These natural ingredients are used in different ways and combinations to help the cleaning process.
A very important part of their cleaning is to use a good quality microfibre.  They have put many different microfibres through their paces and believe the ones they use on their client’s homes are the best.

Oh and if you are thinking that some of the natural ingredients are things your granny used to use for cleaning - you are right.  The combination of modern microfibres and old fashioned know-how is powerful and effective. If you like the idea of cleaning without harmful cleaning products but would like to learn the tricks and how to do it yourself, they can help. They can visit your home to demonstrate the theory and show you the benefits by cleaning either a bathroom or kitchen. They offer one-off and regular cleaning services
