kea is asking customers with an 'Antilop' high chair to contact Ikea Customer Relations immediately, due to a fault with the belt that causes it to open unexpectedly during use - creating a dangerous fall hazard for children.
Affecting only chairs from supplier 17389 with a production date between July 2006 to November 2009, Ikea has received eight reports of belts opening and causing minor injury to three children.
Customers with an Antilop high chair are being asked to check the supplier and production numbers, which can be found moulded on to the underside of the seat. If you have an Antilop high chair from supplier 17389 and a production date that falls between ‘0607’ to ‘0911’ (YYMM), please visit the Exchange and Returns department at your local store, or contact Ikea Customer Relations on 0845 358 3364 to receive a replacement belt free of charge.
Ikea has said of the product recall: "No other high chairs are affected. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
